The site is owned and operated by MaxibonTravel, who we refer to, together with our affiliates, as “us”, “we” or “our”. When we refer to “you” and “your” in this privacy policy, we are referring to you as a visitor to and user of the site.
APPLICABILITY OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This privacy policy applies only to information provided and collected through the site. It does not apply to information that we or other parties may collect through other means, such as information we may learn through a business or employment relationship with you, or information that we collect over the phone. It also does not apply to information collected through social media sites. For example, if you post something on Facebook or another social media or networking site, that information will be governed by the privacy policy of that site, not by this privacy policy.
What information do we collect?
Maxibon Travel will only collect information required to provide you with our high standard of service and advice in the course of our business as a travel agent.
Usage and Sharing
Information submitted to us is only available to employees managing this information for purposes of contacting you with the information you are seeking or providing ongoing services. It may also be provided to contracted service providers relating to our communications with you.
We will never share, sell, or rent individual personal information with anyone without your advance permission or unless ordered by a court of law.
HOW WE COLLECT AND USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
A. What Is Personal Information?
Personal information refers to information that we can use to personally identify a specific individual. Different states and countries define personal information (and similar terms, such as personal data, personally identifiable information, and PII) to include different things, but it generally includes information like your name, mailing address, e-mail address, and phone number.
B. Providing Personal Information Is Your Choice.
We do not currently require you to provide personal information to have access to general information available on our site. However, if you choose to make use of certain features of the sites, you may need to provide certain personal information to us. For example, if you want to create an account on our site, submit a trip request, or review a trip, you will need to provide certain mandatory personal information. If you do provide us with any personal information, you agree that it will be accurate and complete, and you understand that it is your responsibility to keep it current.
C. The Personal Information We Collect.
The categories of personal information you may be asked to provide, and how we may use that information, are described below. We present the information below based on the categories of information collected, but similar specific pieces of information may apply to multiple categories. For example, your name and email address may be included within each of the “Identification and Contact Information,” “Travel Information,” “Billing Information,” and “User-Provided Information” categories described below.
Using your details for future communications
From time to time we may use the information that we have collected from you to send mail or email to you containing travel information or news. We are conscious that our clients do not wish to be constantly bombarded by travel specials and we would only do this on an infrequent basis. We will make it very easy for you to opt out of these communications should you no longer wish to receive them.
Booking Terms & Conditions
Given the unprecedented impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) the Booking Conditions are evolving due to the nature of this pandemic.
If you book your travel with us and later find yourself in the position of having to postpone your travel as a result of airline schedule changes or travel advisories due to the current Coronavirus issues, we will offer flexibility as follows:
We can rebook your itinerary for a date in the future within 18 months of the original travel date. Cancellation and change fees from some individual suppliers may still apply. There may also be some changes to the cost as the items may have a different price for different dates. We will however waive any of our usual change fees, and advocate on your behalf for a waiver or discount on supplier fees.
If any components of the tour that have been purchased are cancelled or become unavailable, you will receive a refund for those components or a suitable alternative.
We will hold any funds paid and apply these to a trip when you are ready to rebook.
- Cancellation at anytime prior to your tour commencement date means loss of deposit.
- Cancellation 21- 45 days of your tour commencement will incur a cancellation fee of 25% of the total tour value, plus any cancellation fees applied by other providers such as accommodation, car rental and other activities.
- Cancellation 8 – 20 days before your tour commencement will incur a cancellation fee of 35% of the total tour value, plus any cancellation fees applied by other providers such as accommodation, car rental, flights and other activities.
- Cancellation 7 days or less, or after tour commencement will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total tour value, plus any cancellation fees applied by other providers such as accommodation, car rental, flights and other activities.
- While we understand that cancellations may at times be unavoidable we highly recommend you purchase adequate travel insurance to cover you for this.
If you feel that your booking might be impacted, please let us know as soon as you can, so that we can ensure the best possible outcome for you.
Please note that no refunds can be issued until we have received final refunds from our suppliers.
A flexible approach
We are not in the business of making money through cancellation fees but we do need to cover our costs for work undertaken on your behalf. We will always endeavour to calculate cancellation fees as fairly and quickly as possible. You may change the dates of your tour at any time (subject to availability), however any third party costs, such as hotel amendment fees or cancellation costs will be payable by you.
Third party terms and conditions
The omission of a link to terms and conditions for third parties does not imply that our terms and conditions supersede those. We cannot list all of our providers terms and conditions, however on request we will supply the terms and conditions to you. At the time of reservation we will endeavour to provide you with any information we feel you should be aware of, but it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure you are comfortable with these terms.
Payment protection & Privacy Policy
We only accept payment for travel packages and services via a credit card or EFT and this is administered by our bank – we merely provide a link and reference and the process is handled completely by their very secure systems. We do not see or store credit card details and use an electronic system provided by our bank to process refunds. This gives us the security of using a bank designed and administered system (arguably the safest way) and you the security of paying by credit card or EFT
One other comment – your plans may change at short notice for many reasons and you need to make sure you have adequate insurance cover to compensate for any charges or costs you may incur by making those changes. Consult your travel insurance provider for specific insurance cover.
